Fortune's Keep Set for a Comeback in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2

As excitement builds for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone, influencers have received a tantalizing hint from Activision that the much-liked Fortune's Keep map might be making a reappearance. Fortune's Keep, which debuted in Warzone in the previous year, quickly gained traction among players for its intense close-combat scenarios and distinct gameplay dynamics. This map is tailored specifically for the Resurgence mode, a popular Warzone variant that grants fallen players a chance to return to the fray under certain conditions.

Amid the popularity of Resurgence mode, currently playable on maps such as Vondel, Ashika Island, and a scaled-down Urzikstan featuring rotating points of interest, Warzone enthusiasts may soon have yet another venue to enjoy their preferred mode. Rebirth Island, the original map for Resurgence, has also been hinted at making a comeback later in the year.

Several Warzone content creators were intrigued to find official parcels from Activision with a clear label "Call of Duty Season 2," each containing a detailed model of a landmark from the Fortune's Keep map. Interestingly, the models did not only revisit the old but also introduced changes and even showcased an entirely new point of interest. The packages showcased landmarks affected by earthquake events and a fresh waterfront location with a jetty stretching into the sea. With these clues in hand, it's evident that Call of Duty is setting the stage for the map's return in Season 2, which is slated to kick off on February 7th. However, details about the precise timing of Fortune's Keep's launch within the season remain a mystery, whether it will be at the start or later as part of a mid-season refresh.

Besides the comeback of Fortune's Keep, Call of Duty: Warzone players have much new content to look forward to. One such update is the Covert Exfil feature, which faced a delay from its initial planned addition in January due to player feedback. Now set to roll out in a dedicated playlist, the feature will be paired with the new Weapon Case attribute, though dates for these additions are still under wraps.

Moreover, the resurgence of the Specialist Bonus perk, a rare find within Warzone that bestows players all available in-game perks, has been trailed along with the re-introduction of Rebirth Island. Fans can expect these enticing updates to invigorate the Warzone experience sometime later in the year.

Players who want to get a leg up should consider brushing up on strategies for tackling Fortune's Keep, as many of the original tips might still apply despite the updated design. With a wealth of fresh features on the horizon, Warzone players have plenty of action and excitement to anticipate in the upcoming seasons.
