Samurai Ninja Cats: A Nostalgic Return to Edoropolis in an Upcoming Video Game Adventure

The beloved world of animated feline warriors is making a comeback, this time through an exciting video game adaptation. Celebrating 35 years since its debut on February 1, 1990, in Japan, the iconic series returns under the title Blast from the Past! This revival pays homage to the original voice cast members, ensuring that fans will recognize the characters they grew up with.

The series, initially known as Kyatto Ninden Teyandee, takes place in the fictional city of Edoropolis, where robotic animals resembling humans navigate a unique blend of science-fiction, humor, and action.

The development of this new game is in the hands of the Dutch studio Blast Zero, with Red Dunes Games from the United Arab Emirates set to handle its distribution. While the project is still in the preliminary phases, a release could potentially happen as soon as 2026.

Early glimpses from the trailer reveal that the game will be a 2D role-playing hack 'n slash adventure, aiming to capture the spirit of the original anime series. Participants will have the option to toggle between different members of the Pizza Cats, each possessing distinct skills that will aid in solving puzzles and engaging in combat.
