Free Guy Review

Description of Free Guy movie

In the Free City massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), players control avatars of themselves and can do anything they want within the game, including committing crimes. The non-player characters (NPCs) are unaware that they are in a video game and live their lives according to their programming. Guy (Ryan Reynolds), an NPC who works as a bank teller, is in love with Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer), an NPC who is a player-created character.

One day, Guy's best friend Buddy (Joe Keery), an NPC security guard, is killed by a player. This causes Guy to become aware of the game and he starts to rebel against the players, becoming a hero to the NPCs. He befriends Molotov Girl and together they try to stop the players from destroying their world.
